GREENVILLE, SC – NXT, a nonprofit firm specializing in the advancement of innovation in healthcare delivery, has been awarded funding for phase two study of its “Patient Room of the Future” research initiative by the U.S. Department of Defense. Phase two of the patient room research includes studies in real patient settings, the development of a nursing unit design evaluation tool, and the physical and virtual demonstration of new technologies in the patient room prototype.
GREENVILLE, SC – NXT, a nonprofit firm specializing in the advancement of innovation in healthcare delivery, announces its collaboration with John Moore, MD, of the MIT Media Lab. Dr. Moore will be working with NXT professionals to demonstrate new technologies designed to enhance physician-patient communications within a variety of care settings.
GREENVILLE, SC – NXT, in collaboration with the Regional Physician Network, Clemson University Architecture + Health program and Pazdan-Smith Group Architects, has been presented with a Healthcare Environment Award by the Center for Health Design. The team of designers, clinicians and researchers won the award for its study in redefining the office of Family Medicine. This is the second national award the design study has received since the project was commissioned in 2009.
